Equal People Performing Arts has changed so much in the last 18 months. The initial
dream vision finally outgrew the mushroom shed and we moved into our new premises in December 2014, but fundraising is still a core function for the charity. We still have a slight shortfall month to month in our running costs vs income, but we also want to continue to expand and develop the premises.
Steve Westrop took over as Chair of the Fundraising Committee recently – a small group of volunteers who have worked tirelessly over the years to raise much-needed funds through community-based fundraising activities: they’re the team behind the raffles, quizzes, social events, wet sponge throwing and more – and was asked to write introducing himself (and his background) and provide some information on our plans for 2016.

Perhaps more importantly though, can we once again reiterate the massive THANK YOU to every one of you who has supported us over the years in any way. We really do appreciate it all.
This is one of several changes being made to strengthen the position of Equal People Performing Arts and our preferred provider, Mushroom Theatre Company, as a new financial year approaches and new opportunities continue to arise. We’ll be sharing more information on other changes soon.
