Equal People’s Patron, Lee Mead, recently gave one of his t-shirts to a member of the “meadaholics” fan club, which was converted into a cushion and raffled to raise funds for the charity.

Lee and his cushionA massive well done and thank you to the meadaholics, who between them raised £536, and an extra congratulations to Tricia in New Zealand who won the signed prize when Lee drew her winning ticket during a gig at The Pheasantry last week.

Lee was a little taken aback that the t-shirt he once wore clubbing in Ibiza would now be winging its way to New Zealand, after the last raffle prizes – a beanie hat and a replica ‘Joseph’ coat – were won by fans in the USA.

The Meadaholics have a website and social media feeds dedicated to Lee, and arrange several fundraising initiatives throughout the year to support Equal People Performing Arts, a charity setup by Lee’s former dance and drama teacher in Rayleigh 11 years ago,
